A major fire broke out on Friday morning, May 8, at Sigma Renew 360, a plastics recycling facility in Tennessee, prompting a large response from multiple fire departments.

A two-alarm fire response was launched after three buildings at the plant’s facility compound were engulfed in flames. All three buildings are considered a total loss. The facility was fully staffed and operational on Friday, but thankfully, there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Could THIA have prevented this fire?
