On April 22, around 10:15 p.m., firefighters responded in Germantown, Maryland to a fire at a fitness center, where smoke and flames were found coming from the sauna.

According to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS), an investigation found that the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction and was deemed accidental. Firefighters said crews evacuated the building with no reported injuries, and MCFRS determined the fire caused nearly $250,000 in damage. Do fitness centers need THIA?
